This management must first involve a process to ascertain what must be managed and how to get the information for management. Network monitoring is an area of network management that involves the provision of information necessary for effective management of a network. It is vital in order for there to be an efficient use of the network resources. The mechanism by which this vital information is being obtained involves the use of network monitoring tools.
