The purpose of this paper is to outline the development and delivery of a library induction toolkit and share the experience of the liaison team at the University of Sunderland. Library induction at Sunderland is viewed as the first opportunity to welcome students, make a lasting impression and provide enough information to entice them to come back to the library.
