<p>Abstract copyright UK Data Service and data collection copyright owner.</p>The aim of these datasets is to estimate public library book loans in order to calculate PLR due to registered authors.<br> The data are collected to satisfy the statutory requirements of the Public Lending Right Act 1979 and the statutory scheme 1982 as amended. The lending data of issues cover all books borrowed from lending collections with the exception of:<br> a) Excluded material types, e.g., music, cassettes<br> b) Excluded borrower types, e.g., institutions<br> Some loans are amalgamated into block descriptions, e.g., Music, Dickens - DEAD AUTHOR, corporate/conference where there is no possibility of PLR being earned.<B>Main Topics</B>:<br> Issues of book...
