Abstract: The anti corrosion potential of cow dung was assessed using weight loss, Electrochemical techniques, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) along with Energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS), and Atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS). The results show that cow dung extract (CDE) possesses good inhibition properties. The inhibition efficiency was found to increase with concentration but decrease with temperature. The highest inhibition efficiency obtained was 91% at 303K. Potentiodynamic polarization result suggests that CDE functioned as a mixed-type inhibitor.
