My article for City Security questions how the term 'resilience' is used in the security industry and how in recognising complexity it has become a way to abandon human and environmental responsibilities, thus causing greater complexities. The relationship between the state and private security companies is examined in a time when increased securitisation perpetuates the sector but does not necessarily bring security. City Security is published in close partnership with the City of London Crime Prevention Association.
