As part of Draw To Perform 3, curated by Ram Samocha, the second day of the symposium shifted from live performance to drawing workshops. Here Burgoyne presents 'stretches', a drawing workshop for 8 people. As in many elements of his performative drawings-rules; space; testing its limits whilst immersing in its absurd logic, perhaps may reveal a more emancipatory space within that logic. This workshop could be seen as a drawing game. The aim of the game is to make standard bands of marks that each time inform the next band.
