Views of students at Chichester\ud University towards saving for pensions in\ud 2015

This is a study to reveal an insight in to the views of young people, with regards to saving towards a\ud pension. It will look in detail at what views young people hold about pensions and why they have\ud certain views. It will also discuss whether there is a lack of awareness about pensions by young\ud people, and what can be done to try and change their views, as well as increase awareness and\ud engagement with pensions.\ud The research has been carried out on Chichester University students, as students are a segment\ud within the young population. Data has been collected through the use of a Questionnaire, and the\ud results have been analysed and discussed.\ud From the research it has become apparent that there is a lack of awareness about pensions, and that\ud the main reasons for this are due to, limited information being provided to young people, and only\ud from a few different methods. As well as this young people don’t perceive pensions as something\ud that they have to be concerned about in the immediate future, instead it is something they can put\ud off until later in life
