This chapter explores the importance of dialogue in teaching as a means of supporting learners to connect and re-connect with their own learning, thereby enhancing a sense of well-being and connectedness with themselves. It is my contention that dialogue is part of the educational process and as such contributes to well-being because it supports learners' understanding of themselves and the world around them. This has been my experience as a learner, whose role as a Senior Lecturer in Education is to support student learners as they develop their emerging pedagogical understandings. It has also been the experience of the undergraduate student teachers I work with, whose voices will be heard throughout this chapte
