The chapters in this book have all been written by staff of the School of Education, Theology and Leadership at St Mary's University College, Twickenham. St Mary's has been educating teachers since 1850 and has always sought to locate teaching and learning in the broader context of developing the full human potential of learners and educators. This collection is designed to help refocus the current debate on the quality of teaching and learning in the direction of a wider understanding of the contribution of the experience of school and the curriculum in securing a richer quality of life for all.
