We submit a method to help in evaluating the multimedia learning software. We aim to assist the users (mainly teachers and students) to make a choice between the large range of software actually available. Our process is to divide the software analysis into six main themes: the general feeling, the technical quality, the usability, the multimedia docu-ments, the scenario and the didactics. Each of these themes is sub-divided into criteria, sub-criteria and questions. The whole forms a hierarchical question-naire that allows marking software through various aspects, in order to compare it to other software or with a determined pedagogical context.
