Their aim is to make easier the perception of student's activities by the tutor. For a learner, distance learning is difficult for several reasons, including the pre-requisite of the ability to take autonomous work and learning. Then the tutor has a double role: to assist the learner in his/her training and to help him/she to acquire autonomy in the target domain, the environment and the task of learning.
