Mobilité géographique et salaires à l'entrée sur le marché du travail

An econometric test of a model decision is issued, based on an estimation of net benefits associated with choice, using data permitting a precise knowing of spatial localization and different thresholds of distance mobility. We show that potential wage net benefit is an important determinant of the migration decision, associated with other individual characteristics and education variables and with characteristics of the origin and destination region. This wage benefit is increasing with the distance of migration and is varying with the number of years of school completion.On étudie les comportements de mobilité géographique liés à la prise d'un emploi pour une cohorte de nouveaux entrants sur le marché du travail, issus du système éducatif français. On teste économétriquement un modèle de décision reposant sur une estimation des gains nets associés au choix, à partir d'une base de données permettant une appréhension assez fine des localisations spatiales et distinguant différents seuils de distance de mobilité. On montre ainsi que le gain salarial potentiel est une composante importante de la décision de migrer associé à d'autres variables relatives aux caractéristiques individuelles et scolaires et aux caractéristiques des espaces d'origine et de destination.
