Contribution de l'abri Pataud à la chronologie du Gravettien français

National audienceThe structuration of the french Gravettian is revisited from the recent data coming from the Pataud rockshelter, using the same tool descriptions and the same quantitative methods than in the first study. The results obtained allows us to confirm the first chronology of the Gravettian and to improve the knowlegde of the Bayacian. A typological draft is then presented, and proves the existence of continuities and discontinuities between these different facies. The revision of the paleoclimatological framework underlines the correlation between the industries and the context, according to the absolute datations. The periodisation of the tool assemblages coming from a climatical adaptation, and her generalisation in a greater geographical and temporal framework, allows us to propose several models of peopling through the whole Europe, by diffusion of population or by internal evolution, and to confirm the hypothesis of the filiation Gravettian / Solutrean. A discussion concerning the origin of the french gravettian facies concludes finally this study.La structuration du Gravettien français est revue à partir des données récentes de l'abri Pataud, en utilisant les mêmes descriptions d'outils et les mêmes méthodes quantitatives que lors de la première étude. Les résultats obtenus permettent de confirmer la première chronologie et d'améliorer la connaissance du Bayacien. Une esquisse typologique est alors présentée, et démontre l'existence de continuités et de discontinuités entre ces différents faciès. La révision du cadre paléoclimatique souligne la corrélation entre les industries et le contexte, en accord avec les datations absolues. La périodisation de l'outillage due à une adaptation climatique, et sa généralisation à un cadre spatio-temporel plus vaste, permet de proposer des modèles de peuplement à l'échelle européenne soit par diffusion de population, soit par évolution interne, et de confirmer l'hypothèse de la filiation Gravettien / Solutréen.
