Le Collet-Redon (La Couronne, Martigues, Bouches-du-Rhône) ; passé, présent et futur des recherches sur l'économie d'un site néolithique final

National audienceThe excavation undertaken since 1999 at Collet-Redon (Martigues, Bouches-du-Rhône) aims at identifying and studying the successive occupancies, with phasage and characterization of the settlements of the final Neolithic period as central problems. This field work is coupled with a re-examination of the old collections at the origin of the definition by Mr. Escalon de Fonton of the cultural group “couronnien”. Mr. Escalon de Fonton very early defined the installations at Collet-Redon in La Couronne as an "agro-pastoral village" or a "farm". After having reviewed this reading, we shall present the new interpretative tracks that the work in progress announces. Confronting the obtained results (stratigraphic, architectural, of craft industry, faunistic and environmental) makes possible to discuss anew his interpretations and to propose new assumptions in terms of nature and duration of the occupancies.Le programme de fouilles engagé depuis 1999 au Collet-Redon (Martigues, Bouches-du-Rhône) vise l'identification et l'étude des occupations qui se sont succédées, avec comme problématique centrale le phasage et la caractérisation des installations du Néolithique final. Ces travaux de terrain se doublent d'un réexamen des collections anciennes à l'origine de la définition, par M. Escalon de Fonton, du groupe culturel couronnien.<br />M. Escalon de Fonton a très tôt parlé, au sujet des installations du Collet-Redon à La Couronne, d'un « village agro-pastoral » ou d'une « ferme ». Après avoir rappelé cette lecture, nous présentons les nouvelles pistes interprétatives que les travaux en cours annoncent. Le croisement des résultats obtenus (stratigraphiques, architecturaux, artisanaux, faunistiques et environnementaux) permet de proposer de nouvelles hypothèses en termes de nature et de durée des occupations
