Town is both a material and symbolic object built by the relation that man keeps with it. The relation is created thanks to the experiences that each person lives in a town (Phenomenological hypothesis). The town is experienced on a personal ground particularly when it comes to its sensitive dimension informed by social reality. What defines and determines this relation is the imagination as in a pool of images or schemes but also as a dynamic process of self-production. The imagination of a town can be grasped only through a personal imagination that is always tinged with collective imagination. I suggest describing the imagination of a town from the representation a writer creates in a work of fiction and more precisely from the landscape...
