Crise de la nature dans l'agglomération abidjanaise : l'exemple de la colonisation des espaces verts par l'habitat et les commerces dans la commune de Cocody.

Environment's Crisis in the town of Abidjan: Case of the destruction of public gardens, due to housing and trade activities in the district of Cocody.<br />Abstract: - African cities like Abidjan in Ivory Coast are more and more facing multiple challenges. The first of them is the settlement and the management of public gardens those are constantly threatened for spontaneous and illegal use, or declassified by authorities to turn them into housing or commercial areas. <br />However, these public gardens represent structuring equipment of general interest that improve the quality of urban environment and play important social and economic roles.<br />This contribution gives a general explanatory diagram of the crisis within public gardens and the development of a city without soul, inanimate, stressful, confined and becoming ugly, due to piles of rubbish and the need for housing.<br />By studying the way environment is managed, we give as hypothesis that the use of public garden in the district of Cocody (Abidjan) due to the need for housing and trade activities, brings about another conception of city in Ivory Coast.Les villes africaines à l'instar d'Abidjan, en Côte d'Ivoire sont confrontées de plus en plus à de multiples défis. Le principal défis est la mise en la place et la gestion des espaces verts qui sont constamment agressés pour usage spontané et illégal ou par déclassification par les pouvoirs publics pour en faire des espaces habités ou commerciaux. Pourtant, ces espaces représentent des équipements structurants d?intérêt général qui améliorent la qualité de l?environnement urbain et jouent des rôles économiques et sociaux importants. <br>Cette contribution propose un schéma explicatif général de la crise des espaces verts et du développement d'une ville sans âme, inanimée, stressante, d'enfermement à perte de vue et enlaidie par les immondices et la course au béton. En étudiant la manière dont la nature est gérée, nous proposons l'hypothèse que la colonisation des espaces verts dans la commune de Cocody par l'habitat et les commerces fait émerger une autre conception de la ville en Côte d'Ivoire
