Réseaux et systèmes de télécommunications dans une région périphérique du Sénégal: Ziguinchor en Casamance

Ces réseaux d'infrastructures, bien qu'inégalement répartis, permettent à la région de Ziguinchor d'être reliée aux flux mondiaux d'information. Sous l'impulsion des entrepreneurs privés locaux, du marché de l'informel, et de l'aide internationale, se développent, des points d'accès aux TIC de type télécentre pour le téléphone et Cybercentre pour l'Internet. L'espace de relation de la région s'élargit. La vraie révolution dans les communications est le téléphone mobile. Mais les usages d'Internet (courriel d'abord) et du téléphone mobile révèlent des effets à la fois d'extraversion et de recentrage de la société Ziguinchoroise
