12 fig., 7 tab.The site of Igue du Gral is an aven (trap-cave, sinkhole) measuring around 15 meters in diameter and depth. It has yielded a very well preserved Pleistocene faunal assemblage. This site is located on the plateau of the Quercy Causses within an exceptional ensemble of archaeological sites and decorated caves. Its excavation has yielded a large paleontological assemblage on which a series of radiocarbon dates has been realized. At the top of the Pleistocene sequence, a level containing a very large sized red deer has been dated to 10,650 +/- 50 BP (AMS, Ly-16389).
