International audienceThe case study deals with teaching practices of a teacher who had her students using the simulation of a chemical reaction to introduce kinetic concepts in grade 12. Teacher's knowledge is described with facets and compared to a list of 117 facets established from 4 students, and 4 inservice teachers treated as students, performing the same activity in autonomy. The organisation of the session is described as well as the knowledge the teacher involved during her interventions. Facets of knowledge appearing during the activity are grouped by concepts or by relations between concepts. Rarely were the relations involving more than 2 concepts.
