International audienceThis study investigated the appropriation of concepts and practices of open access and open archives by the Tunisian research community in information science and communication through the counting of deposits in a french open archive ArchiveSIC and questionnaire survey of a representative population of the discipline in Tunisia, 18 reserchers from the Higher Institute of Documentation and 12 researchers from the Institute for Press and Information Science. The results of this study showed an awareness and involvement in the movement of open access and open archives more interesting by researchers of the Higher Institute of Documentation than their counterparts in the Institute for Press and Information Science.
