International audienceThis article deals with laryngeal adjustments during<br />the production of singleton voiceless consonants in<br />Tashlhiyt Berber. It focuses on the influence of<br />place and manner of articulation and effects of<br />position in the word. Results provide evidence that<br />the degree of glottal opening as well as the velocity<br />of abduction-adduction gestures vary according to<br />the place of articulation of stops and fricatives and<br />their position in the word. Systematic differences,<br />reflecting a universal tendency, were also observed<br />between stops and fricatives.
