International audienceThe term “metier” (occupation, craft), encompasses a soft personnel policy reform carried out by the State for its agents. The term was introduced to convey methods which aim at foreseeing possible evolution of both staff and know-how based on general lists of “similar jobs” required to accomplish State missions and the needed associated competences.
