International audiencePeru, country having with Cuba the oldest Chinese community of Latin America, became since the opening of China, a country of transit but also of destination for a great number of Chinese immigrants. In this article we show the place of Peru in the network of the roads borrowed by the migrants and their” frontier runners” (“coyotes”) to reach the United States. A study of the visa requests made by the Chinese wishing either to establish in Peru or to use the country as transit point and of their guarantors enabled us to draw up the profile of these new migrants.
