French agriculture is subject of critics because of the impacts on the natural resources, of the transformations of the landscapes and of the sometimes disputed quality of its productions. Faced with social expectations and with the lawful pressures, some farmers have chosen to organize themselves in networks to propose alternative production systems. A dynamic is in work in these minority farmers who seek to diffuse their experiments by creating new bonds within the farming population. All claim a greater sustainability of the production but the levels of questioning of the conventional systems vary, according to the representations which they are made of their trade and their place in the society.
