Les recompositions récentes de l'industrie sfaxienne (Tunisie)

International audienceRECENT RESTRUCTURING OF INDUSTRY IN SFAX ABSTRACT Following the example of the Tunisian industry, industry in Sfax has been suffering, for about a decade, from the shock of internationalization and globalization. This situation seems to be increasingly difficult, in view of the fact that the main part of the industrial make-up has come into life within a protectionist framework. This juncture has engendered in some industrialists a will to adapt and save their activities by means of the adoption of new techniques for the production and management as well as accessing new technology. The state, in its own turn, has attempted, through its rehabilitation program, to save some of the enterprises. Through a field investigation of some enterprises, this research has studied the restructuring of industrial composition and its magnitude. The study has shown that the sweeping majority of restructuring policies relate to an endogenous adaptation to globalization.A l'image de l'industrie nationale, l'industrie de Sfax se trouve depuis une dizaine d'années sous le choc de l'internationalisation et la globalisation. Une situation qui s'avère de plus en plus difficile, du fait que l'essentiel du tissu industriel a trouvé naissance dans un cadre protectionniste. Cette conjoncture a engendré chez certains industriels une volonté d'adaptation et de sauvegarde de leurs activités, et ce à travers l'adoption de nouvelles techniques de production et de gestion et à travers l'accès à la nouvelle technologie. L'État de son côté, avec le programme de mise à niveau, a essayé de sauver une partie des entreprises. A partir d'une enquête de terrain qui a touché une centaine d'entreprises, l'auteur a étudié les recompositions du tissu industriel et leur ampleur. L'étude a montré que la majeure partie des recompositions relève d'une adaptation endogène à la mondialisation
