Quête de Dieu et recherche de modèles. Naissance d'une tradition féminine dans la mystique allemande (XIIe-XIVe s.)

This papers concentrates on a geographical area, namely medieval Germany, where various figures of mystic in the feminine flourished between XIIth and XIVth centuries. The present study retained four ot them, Hildegard of Bingen, Elisabeth of Schönau, Mechthild of Magdeburg and Margaretha Ebner, but this restricted sample does not reflect any arbitrary power: on one hand, beyond their differences of condition, these four women are indeed at the same moment representative of central problems in the question of relationship between mystic women and the Book. On the other hand, they appear to be connected, if not by a real filiation, at least by an interesting red thread, namely the influence that they exercised the some on the others. The article proposes in appendix a French translation of chosen letters exchanged by Margaretha Ebner and his confessor Heinrich von Nördlingen.Cette étude se concentre sur une aire géographique, la Germanie, qui vit fleurir entre XIIe et XIVe siècles différentes figures de mystiques au féminin. La présente étude en a retenu quatre, Hildegarde de Bingen, Elisabeth de Schönau, Mechthilde de Magdebourg et Margaretha Ebner, mais cet échantillon restreint ne reflète pas un quelconque arbitraire : au-delà de leurs différences de condition, ces quatre femmes sont en effet à la fois représentatives de problèmes centraux dans la question des rapports entre mystiques et Livre, et liées entre elles, sinon par une véritable filiation, du moins par un intéressant fil rouge, à savoir l'influence qu'elles exercèrent les unes sur les autres.
