Politique linguistique éducative à l'égard de l'amazighe (berbère) au Maroc : des choix sociolinguistiques et didactiques à leur mise en pratique

This thesis intersects between the fields of sociolinguistics and didactics in a context of minority languages. This study seeks to describe and to analyze the stakes in the new educational linguistic policy started in Morocco from 2001, following the official recognition of the Amazigh language and culture in the country. The research consists of clarifying the choices made by the linguistic planners on the status and on the corpus of the Amazigh language- raising its status to that of a language taught in schools as well as its standardisation (passage from oral to a written language and the codification on a national scale). Theoretical contributions stemming from sociolinguistics, linguistic development, and from bi-multilingual education are present throughout our work to evaluate the feasability of these choices as well as to explore other alternatives. This study consists of fieldwork in the form of interviews of diverse partners of the education project, including thirty primary school teachers concerned by the implementation of the standardized amazighe language. The qualitative analysis of all these data allows the better understanding of the advances and difficulties that surround the process in the implementation of teaching Amazigh in Morocco.Ce travail de thèse s'inscrit à l'intersection des champs de la sociolinguistique et de la didactique dans un contexte de minoration linguistique. Il cherche à décrire et analyser les enjeux de la nouvelle politique linguistique éducative engagée par le Maroc à partir de 2001, suite à la reconnaissance officielle de la dimension amazighe du pays. La recherche consiste, tout d'abord, à expliciter les choix effectués par les aménageurs en matière d'actions sur le statut et sur le corpus de la langue amazighe - le rehaussement de son statut à celui de langue enseignée ainsi que sa standardisation (passage à l'écrit et codification à l'échelle nationale). Des apports théoriques issus de la sociolinguistique, de l'aménagement linguistique, et de l'éducation bi-plurilingue sont ainsi convoqués tout au long de notre travail afin de situer ces choix dans le champ des possibles. Nous avons également mené une enquête de terrain de type qualitatif auprès de divers acteurs du projet d'enseignement, dont trente instituteurs concernés par la diffusion de la langue amazighe standardisée. L'analyse de l'ensemble de ces données permet de mieux cerner les avancées et les difficultés que rencontre le processus - en cours - de mise en oeuvre de l'enseignement de l'amazighe au Maroc
