When the network of a watershed is similar to an object characterized by a self-similar fractal dimension, the distance from the outlet of the points which constitute its barycentric set, is strictly proportional to the diameter of the network which corresponds to the longest path of drainage. This proportion is a geometric property that links time of concentration and lag-time, two times usually used in urban hydrology.
