Parental knowledge of adolescent leisure activities is widely recognized as a strong predictor of adolescent psychosocial adjustment. However, the issue of its sources remains at the heart of debates. According to some authors, parental knowledge is the result of parental monitoring efforts; for others, it is the only fruit of the adolescent willingness in information management.
