Towards a linguistic-based students' training for professional writing. In higher education today, specific programs are designed for professional writers (called "professionnal writing" or "redactology") and for workers from various sectors where writing plays an important role (eg social workers). The aim of this paper is to make proposals for the academic literacies and the transition to professional literacies (or workplace literacies).
