27 pagesInternational audienceThe coastal slopes of the Pays d'Auge plateau (Calvados) are regularly affected by landslides. The displacements are small (5-10 cm.yr-1) but some important accelerations (with several meters of displacements) have been observed in 1982, 1988, 1995 and 2001. The processes have caused direct damages to infrastructures and to effects on the local and regional economical activity. To analyze the historical and morphological evolution of the slopes, we propose a diachronical method to quantify the displacements and the change of the coastline position since 1808. The analysis is based on numerous historical documents (archives) and spatial geodata (maps, cadastral surveys, aerial photographs, satellite images,) whi...
