International audienceThis chapter presents the relation beween Indigenous peoples in Australia and the media sector. It examines both the development of indigenous media and the participation of indigenous peoples in mainstream media. This presentation brings to the fornt a problematic articulation between the objective of protecting cultural diversity and promoting it in the Australian media sector.Ce chapitre présente les rapports des peuples autochtones d'Australie au secteur médiatique (presse, radio, télévision). Il examine d'une part les médias autochtones développés depuis les années 1980 et la participation des autochtones au secteur médiatique établi d'autre part. Cette présentation fait apparaître une articulation problématique entre l'objectif de protection de la diversité culturelle et sa promotion dans le contexte médiatique australien
