International audienceThe main topic of this presentation is a macroeconomic system using exchangeable ecological-footprint and biocapacity quotas. Since sustainable development has become a clichéd expression, we need to imagine new concepts in order to inspire change. The economic system is the only system that is shared by all human beings. A large set of local characteristics can be integrated into any system to modify our society without a violent revolution. Given this opportunity, a potential solution would be to partially modify the economic system to bring it in line with society's new values and respond to new world issues.
