International audienceIn this essay, I consider how narrative methods and ways of thinking have enabled me to compose three distinct storylines about literacy and literate experience: 1). Literacy stories as moral stories; 2). Literacy as narrative experience; and 3). Literacy as embodied, (i.e., literacy-in-persons). I discuss implications that narrative methods promise for literacy researchers, particularly those who understand literacy as a social and cultural practice
