International audienceThe Buddhist Ladakh divide the world into three levels: a high level (of the gods); a middle level (of humans) and also the level of the tsan, red demons without backs; and finally the bottom level, that of the lhu, subterranean divinities. The lhu are also contrasted with the lha in the same way as the feminine is contrasted with the masculine.
