International audienceIn the field of the texts comprehension, the differences of efficiency between pupils of contrasted social backgrounds are very strong. The nature of the activity of reading requires the coordination of complex set of skills which are quite potentially at the source of the difficulties. In this article, we handle only one of them, probably the most decisive for the stakes in democratization: the vocabulary.
