À propos des régimes de patrimonialisation : enjeux et questions

International audienceAfter a brief definition of heritagization and a reminder of the gestures that characterize it, a first part analyzes the emergency in France of the notion of heritage (in the seventies and eighties) as well as the criticism it initiated among sociologists and historians because of its extension. In a second part are presented the two types of heritagization of tangible objects, the institutional one, with the example of the inventory, and the social one i.e;. ethnological heritagization.The third part deals with the specificity of the heritagization of the cultural intangible heritage in connection with its mode of allographic existence (as the ideal object seperate from its manifestation). The adopted viewpoint applied in the three parts leads eventually to take into account the questioning that this perspective suggests today concerning the extension of intangible cultural heritage and the (re)defintion of the natural heritage.Après une rapide présentation de la définition de la patrimonialisation, rappelant les « gestes » qui la caractérisent, une première partie rappelle l’émergence, en France, de la notion de patrimoine (dans les années soixante-dix et quatre-vingt), ainsi que des critiques dont son extension a fait l’objet de la part des sociologues et des historiens. Les deux types de patrimonialisation des objets matériels sont ensuite examinés : institutionnelle avec l’exemple de l’Inventaire, et sociale avec le patrimoine dit ethnologique. La troisième partie traite de la spécificité de la patrimonialisation du patrimoine culturel immatériel, au regard de son mode d’existence allographique (comme objet idéal distinct de sa manifestation). La mise en perspective ainsi opérée dans les trois parties amène, en conclusion, à faire état des questionnements qu’elle suggère aujourd’hui concernant l’extension de la catégorie de patrimoine culturel immatériel et la (re)définition du patrimoine naturel
