When one focuses on the winter and coldness representations, one might wonder if the paintings and the real weather are correlated. If they are, do the paintings genuinely show how the weather was when they were painted? As the winter scenes became appreciated, the painters started to paint without taking into account the real weather. Eventually they painted genre scenes of the winter time and almost developed a series of winter scenes' image.
