The Comoro Archepelago is composed of four Islands: Great Comoro, Anjouan, Moheli and Mayotte, whose first population, goes back to the first century BC, has known slavery before the slave trade and the beginning of French Colonization. The main functions of slavery in this little country at the end of world are mainly agricultural and domestic work. But contrary to the others countries, written documents are scarce and an absolute silence of the inhabitants prevail in front of this phenomenon.
