International audienceThe primary objective of this paper is to examine the lexical planning related to English loanwords in France and Quebec and to consider the governments' language intervention by measuring the terminological implantation of two English loanwords smartphone and hashtag in a journalistic corpus. This work allows us to identify the degree of implantation and generalization of the variants of these two words in the written language.
