International audienceSince 2009 the town of Isle-Saint-Georges (33) is the scene of substantial and uninterrupted archaeological research. These studies mainly concern the Iron Age and the Gallo-Roman period. Surface geophysical tools have been implemented to meet two objectives. On the one hand, an electromagnetic prospecting was carried out on approximately 50 ha to map sedimentary masses present in the first meters of basement. These data coupled with cores presented elsewhere (Lescure & Arnaud-Fassetta, this volume) contribute to palaeo-geographic and palaeo-environmental reconstruction of the sector.
