International audienceThis article gives an overview of the ongoing trends in the European Court of Human Rights’ case law regarding the Internet. We start bypresenting the ways in which the Court has applied the general principles governing its traditional jurisprudence on freedom of expression tothe Internet. We then show that, when the Court stresses the specific nature of the Internet as a means of communications, it construes it asa “dangerous space” condoning wider restrictions of freedom of speech than those generally accepted.Cet article passe en revue les tendances jurisprudentielles de la Cour européenne des droits de l'Homme vis-à-vis d'Internet.
