International audienceWhile indivisibility is promoted by the French Republic as a pillar of its legitimacy, its application has met difficulties in the judicial field. Yet Justice should, in the interests of this principle, be applied equally across the national territory. However, crosschecking a quantitative analysis with a series of interviews with public prosecutors, who are central actors in French courts, makes it clear that substantial differences exist in the implementation of national policy in cases of criminal offense.
