EXPRESSION DE L'AFFECTIVITÉ PAR LES VERBES DE CRIS D'ANIMAUX EN FRANÇAIS ET EN RUSSE

Abstract – In this paper, the dictionary Les Verbes français by Jean Dubois and Françoise Dubois-Charlier 1997 was used to establish the list of French verbs expressing animal sounds. Then, within this set of verbs, we identify those that can be used to express feeling when used with a human as subject (on occasion, with a change in construction). The second part is devoted to establishing a similar list of Russian verbs expressing animal sounds, such as aboyer (to bark) in French, for the dog's cry. Our goal is to identfy which Russian verbs can be used differently to imply an emotional connotation (i.e., in French Max aboie des insultes contre les voisins – Max is barking insults about the neighbors). Finally, in the third part, the entire lists for both languages are compared with each other, in order to reach a conclusion on emotion management in the two linguistic systems.Résumé — A partir du dictionnaire Les Verbes Français (LVF) de Jean Dubois & Françoise Dubois-Charlier (1997), on établit l'état des verbes du français décrivant des cris d'animaux, puis, à l’intérieur de cet ensemble, on identifie les items qui se prêtent à l'indication d'un effet émotionnel, créé par l'emploi du verbe avec un sujet humain (et éventuellement associé à un changement de construction). Dans une deuxième partie, on constitue, à l'exemple de LVF, le corpus des verbes russes dénotant l'expression du cri de l'animal (tel aboyer pour le cri du chien en français), pour circonscrire les verbes pouvant donner lieu à un emploi différent impliquant une connotation émotive (comme, en français, Max aboie des injures contre les voisins). Enfin, dans une troisième partie, on compare l'ensemble du corpus obtenu pour les deux langues de manière à conclure sur la gestion de l'émotion dans les deux systèmes linguistiques
