Extension of the Range of Holothuria zacae, Deichmann 1937

In October 1970, 20 unusual holothurians were found off Ship Rock, Santa Catalina Island, California (33°27\u2748 N; 118°29\u2726 W) on a shelly debris bottom, at a depth of 30 meters. One specimen was sent to the Smithsonian Institution and it was identified as Holothuria zacae (Deichmann 1937), a species previously known to range from Cedros and Guadalupe Islands off Baja California south to the Galapagos Islands, and into the Gulf of California
