In recent years, zeolite-bearing tuffs are found from various localities in Japan. For the contribution to the application of them, the authors investigated the adsorption properties of zeolite which was yielded from Itaya, Yamagata prefecture, Japan. Its main component is Clinoptilolite. The adsorption was measured by using of CO_2 gas as the adsorbate. The results obtained were as follows; 1) The greater parts of water in Clinoptilolite are removed continuously to a temperature of 380 ℃., and fine voids are opened during the dehydration. 2) The number of adsorption layer of CO_2 is about 1 ~ 2. 3) The specific surface area changes greatry by the heat treatment, and shows the maximum value of 260 m^2/gr. at a temperature of 380℃. 4) The av...
