This paper reports the finding of ophiuroid ossicles in the Kallankurichchi Formation (Maastrichtian) of Ariyalur Group, Tamil Nadu. The material is rather ill preserved and represents indeterminate vertebrae, dorsal shields, possible genital bars and some questionable material of uncertain affinity. The palaeoecological implications of these ossicles on the Kallankurichchi Formation are discussed
