UNSTEADY BOUNDARY LAYER FLOW OF NON-NEWTONIAN FLUIDS OVER TWO-DIMENSIONAL AND AXISYMMETRIC BODIES.

The unsteady laminar incompressible boundary-layer flow of non-Newtonian power-law fluids over two-dimensional and axisymmetric bodies has been studied when the free stream velocity and mass transfer vary with time and streamwise distance. The partial differential equations with three independent variables governing the flow have been solved numerically using an implicit finite-difference scheme. The results indicate that the time-dependent free stream velocity, power-law fluids and mass transfer exert a strong influence on the skin friction and heat transfer. On the the other hand, Prandtl number and dissipation parameter affect only the heat transfer
