Manual aiming research usually requires participants to aim a cursor to larger sized targets. To date, there are few instances where participants use an aiming apparatus larger than the target being aimed to, despite similar situations that occur throughout daily living. Researchers describe this relationship as Tolerance , the difference between the aiming apparatus and the target. The present study set out to try to come to a better understanding about the target--cursor relationship.
