This is a baseline study of the property sales and their values within the neighbourhood of a planned casino site in downtown Windsor, Ontario, Canada. Even preceding the official announcement of the permanent casino location near the Glengarry neighbourhood during January 1993, any predictable changes in the numbers of sales, property values, and owner-concentration might signify the beginnings of property re-evaluation and land-use alteration. The data set for the study consists of 1,344 residential, and 65 commercial transactions of 608 properties during the period from 1975 to 1993.
